Just…incredible, wild things here. Wanda, totally unhinged, was a wonderful villain for this film, and I liked that her position in the movie was hidden to the diploma that it was. And that evil looking “Strange Supreme”? Yet another good twist, when that turns out to be Peculiar possessing the corpse of a useless alt-universe Weird and harnessing the ability of evil spirits to wage war versus Wanda. It is really Raimi/Evil Useless, and once more, a different wonderful component of the movie, full misdirection from the trailer.
It is really straightforward for misleading trailers to lead to disappointment in a movie, and really difficult for things to be hidden to this degree and have that strategy convert out nicely like we’re seeing right here.
